He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Turner and Frances Turner; his siblings, Rachel Hancock, Georgianna Griffin, Charlie Turner, Basil Hildreth and Robert Earl Turner; and his great grandchild Parker James Player.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Turner; his children, Michael Turner (Christy) of Kinston and Michelle Harper (Craig) of Deep Run; his grandchildren, Victoria Hill, Garrett Harper (Margo), Hannah Green (Ethan) and Avery Harper; his siblings, Jake Turner of Deep Run, Jerry Turner of Kannapolis, Sherwood Turner of Deep Run, Darlene Turner of Deep Run and Kay Tanner of Deep Run; his great grandchild Emerson; and his pet Dalton.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Pink Hill Funeral Home (1056 NC-11, Pink Hill, NC 28572). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Branch Free Will Baptist Cemetery (2515 Gray Branch Church Rd, Deep Run, NC 28525).
