It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Durwood Anderson of Pink Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Anderson and Minnie Hines Anderson; his brothers, Hubert (Bonnie Brogden Anderson), Adolph (Nellie Thompson Anderson), Bob (Dorothy Anderson Kelly), Kenneth Anderson, Kermit Anderson and Johnny (Sue Anderson Head); and his pet Leo.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lee Jackson Anderson; his children, Kim Anderson of Goldsboro and Kevin Anderson (Paula) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Jana Anderson and Kelly Anderson of Greenville; his pet Ella; his brother Billy Ray Anderson (Sheila Bell Anderson) of Mount Olive; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Price Anderson of Mount Olive, Portia Bass Anderson of Faison and Joyce Jackson Grant (Ray) of Fruita, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
