He is survived by: his parent Fern Thompson of Louisville; his children, Katherine Shirley (William Marez), Anna Shirley (Rick Privett) of Maiden, Kimberly Shirley of Maiden, Donald W. Vukich of Longview, Betty Mathews and Karen Nicholas; his sisters, Doris Thompson and June Parretta (Russell); and his grandson Jesse Bittner.
