It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Ferrell Austin (Pineville, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2018, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Brawley Rubin Ferrell and Mary Stokes Ferrell Buchan; and her brother Jack "Buddy" Ferrell. She is survived by: her husband George Richard Austin, Sr.; her son George Richard Austin, Jr.; her wife Ashley Turner Austin of Atlanta, GA; her siblings, Robert Ferrell, David Ferrell and Marcelle Strain; and also Claire Elizabeth Austin of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Pleasant Hill UMC Building Fund.
