With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mavis A. Mohorn (Pinetown, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on January 31, 2019 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Franklin Ambrose and Annie Ella Silverthorne Ambrose; her children, Sylvia Jefferson, Genia Faye Baynor and Roger Baynor; her daughter-in-law Verma Baynor; and her siblings, Ernest Ambrose, Louvadia Everett, Elva Bowen and Christine Ambrose.
She is survived by: her spouses, Theodore Hardin Baynor and George Clinton Mohorn; her sons, Ted Baynor of Pinetown and James Baynor of Apopka, FL; her stepdaughters, Vicki Lewis (David) of Washington and Patricia Windley (Gary) of Pinetown; her children-in-law, Rodger Jefferson and Terria Baynor; her siblings, Frankie Ambrose (Dean) of Washington, Pauline Windley (Leonard) of Pinetown and Jackie Boyd (Gary) of Chocowinity; her grandchildren, Genia Martin, Jeanne Rutledge, Mandy Baynor, Jason Biggs, Russell Windley and Allison Johnson; and her close friend Martha Keech. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
