It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie James Stokesberry of Pinetown, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Edward Stokesberry and Ella Hodges Stokesberry; and his wife Christine Snyder Waters. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Brown (Gene) of Washington, Patsy Oliver of Pinetown, Danny J. Stokesberry (Sandy) of Ada, OK and Shirley Spencer (Reid) of Pantego; his stepson Michael Waters (Cindy) of New Bern; his grandchildren, Donna, Rachel, John, Paula, Randy, Danny "Worm", Sarah and Douglas Spencer; and his siblings, Robbie, George, Willie Gray, Walter Stokesberry and Doris Molt. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and some great great grandchildren.
