He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Dale Nelson; and his siblings, Admiral Nelson and Pauline Swanner. He is survived by: his spouses, Janice Roberta Wallace and Roberta Wallace Nelson; his daughters, Bonnie Nelson Keech (Henry) of Pinetown and Betsy Nelson Mobley of Pinetown; his brother Douglas Mark Nelson (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Megan Waters, Hannah Keech, Holly Keech, Nickolas Keech, Lillian Mobley and Lyla Mobley.
