He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Harrell and Annie Gibson Harrell; his children, Keith Harrell and Karen Harrell; and his siblings, Gerald "Chip" Harrell, Ophelia Dixon and Joan Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Myra Harrell Fleming of Portland, Kathy Moore of Washington, NC, James A. Harrell Jr. of Bear Grass, NC, Laurie Stocks of Pinetown, NC and Terri Harrell of Pinetown, NC; and his sister Peggy Woolard of Wilmington, DE.. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service (4500 US-264, Washington, NC 27889).
