She is survived by: her children, James Arthur Simms, Jr. of Rocky Mount, NC, Clifton Ray Simms, Patricia Jenkins Sharpe of Greenville, NC, Crystal Higgs of Greenville, NC, Carolyn Annette Cherry of Greenville, NC and Rebecca Faye Simms of Pinetops, NC; and her siblings, Charlie Ray Epps of Pinetops, NC, Moses H. Jenkins of Pinetops, NC, Ruby Jenkins of Pinetops, NC, Hattie L. Jenkins of Pinetops, NC and Debbie Denise Dickens of Pinetops, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pine Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (502 E Hamlet St, Pinetops, NC 27864). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
