He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dewey and Eva Nanney Hobgood; his grandchild Ryan Scott; his great grandchildren, Brooke and Bailey Bourne; and his siblings, Myrtle Hobgood Stephens, Eunice Hobgood Bell, Lucille Hobgood Leggett, John Hobgood, Dewey Hobgood, Jack Hobgood, Douglas Hobgood and Sydney Hobgood.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Hobgood; his children, Harold Willis Hobgood Jr. (Anita) of Macclesfield, Melissa "Lisa" Hobgood Chappell (Jeffrey) of Greenville and Jason Allen Hobgood (Robin) of Pinetops; his grandchildren, Casey Hobgood Bourne of Conetoe, Lindsay Hobgood Walston (Dustin) of Pinetops, Meredith Page Lawson (Chris) of Greenville, Hannah Chappell of Robersonville, Taylor Hobgood of Rocky Mount, Alyssa Chappell of Greenville, Thomas Cooper and Elanie Webb of Nashville; his great grandchild Garrett Bourne; his grandchildren, Cayden Bourne, Savannah Dail, Colton Cooper, Nathan Lawson, Liam Walston, Parker Skaggs, Addler Walston and Hadley Harrell; and his siblings, Bobby Hobgood (Wanda) of Marco Island, FL, Betsy Hobgood Tabor (Charley) of Baltimore, MD, Eve Hobgood Price of Morristown, TN and Anne Hobgood of Kinston, NC..
