She was predeceased by: her parents, Effie Reames Grissom and Newman Clifton Grissom, Sr.; her husband Howard Franklin Saunders; and her brothers, N. C. Grissom, Jr. and Durwood Belmont Grissom.
She is survived by: her children, Audrey Dianne Gerr of Fort Mills, SC and Dr. Howard Brady Saunders (Patricia) of Pinetops; her grandchildren, Kenny Gerr, Heather Gerr Blaylock, Dr. Adam Brady Saunders (Amanda), Bethany Saunders Kohn (Bradley) and Rebecca Sherron Saunders; and her great grandchildren, Dashy Kohn and Lauren Kohn.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Christian Church, 1470 North Lynnbank Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
