Though Deacon William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Deacon William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Mary Harper Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Terrance Johnson of Princeville, NC, Tashawn Johnson of Princeville, NC, Jerimy Knight of Rocky Mount, NC, Jamison Johnson of Holly Springs, NC, Theresa Johnson of Rocky Mount, NC, Talicia Johnson of Princeville, NC and Jolynda Johnson; and his siblings, Reverend Bernard Johnson of Tarboro, NC and Mildred Johnson Staton of Princeville, NC. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary, Inc. (1800 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Dilda's Chapel FWB Church (596 Hamilton Rd, Fountain, NC 27829). A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Crestlawn Memorial Garden (4965 US-258, Farmville, NC 27828).
