He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Whitfield and Mary Knight Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Estell Whitfield; and his children, Darryl Whitfield of Rocky Mount, NC, Clarence Blackwell of Farmville, NC, Marcus Whitfield of Raleigh, NC, Annette Silver of Castilla, NC, Angeline Whitfield, Cora Clark Johnson of Farmville, NC and Tiara Whitfield Sweeting of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
