He was predeceased by: his wife Dot. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Hawkins (Robin) of Charlotte and Larry Dean Hawkins of Burlington; his grandchildren, Ryan Hawkins, Heather H. Mathis (Jeremy), Casey Hawkins and Kelly Hawkins; his great grandchild Chloe; and his niece Annie Evans (George).
