It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amos Harrell Jr. of Pinetops, North Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Janie Varnell Harrell; his parents, Anna Forbes Harrell and Amos K. Harrell, Sr.; his granddaughter Alexis Harrell; and his brother Rudolph Harrell.
He is survived by: his son Michael Alex Harrell of Pinetops; his siblings, Mary Harrell Baker (Alvis) of Macclesfield and William Elwood Harrell of Elm City; his grandchildren, Kenneth Harrell of Fountain and Colby Harrell of Fountain; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Ellis of Crisp and Betty Jo Shepheard (Garland) of Tarboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
