She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Frances Smith; her husband Joe N. Sinclair Jr.; and her siblings, Paul Smith (Jean), William Smith and Beth.

She is survived by: her children, David Neal of Pinehurst and Terri Sinclair (John Galland) of Pinehurst; and her siblings-in-law, Patsy Smith of Latta, S. C. and Jimmy Sinclair (Margaret) of Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bethesda Presbyterian Music Ministry in memory of Ruth Sinclair.
