It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oneita Evelyn Snead of Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Norman, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hancock and Nellie Hancock (Wilson); her husband Barney Lee Snead, Jr.; her sisters, Elon Black and Villa Mae Webb; her son Col Ronald Bruce Snead; and her granddaughter Ashley McKay Snead.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Snead Swisher (Steve) of Dunbar, WV; her grandchildren, Holly McKay (Bobby) of Canonsburg, PA, Ian Patrick of Dunbar, WV and Samuel Stephen (Amber) of Dunbar, WV; her great grandchildren, Hope, Daniel and Kylo; and her great great grandchildren, Grayson and Elara.
