He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Moore and Sadie Mae Anderson Moore; his brother-in-law George S. Vollmar; and his pet Missy. He is survived by: his pets, Sandy, Sunshine, Shadow, Alfie, Bucky, Darla, Midnight, Molly and Milo; his wife Linda Teer Moore of Chapel Hill; his stepson Michael Elkins (Brad) of Mebane; his sister Peggy Moore Vollmar of Atlanta, GA; his niece Cristy Vollmar McGranahan (Robert McGranahan); his great-nephew Logan Zeke McGranahan (Abbey Lewis) of Durham, NC; his great-niece Lauren Marcail McGranahan Tillotson (Michael Tillotson) of Atlanta, GA; his niece Wendy Vollmar Zoller-Cory (Peter Cory); his great-niece Chelsea Aspen Zoller; his great-nephew Seigfried Dominique Zoller (Ziggy) of Atlanta, GA; his sister-in-law Martha Ann Teer Hall (Ken Hall); his niece Teresa Ann Hall Cruey (Steve); and his great-nephews, Chase Mckinsey Pettigrew and Hunter Gabriel Cruey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Larry's memory to the American Heart Association.
