It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Gay Brown of Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphus Jesse Brown and Margaret Elizabeth Gay; his stepfather Harry Artz; his son Stephen Lee Brown; and his friend Ralph Stewart Gallagher.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Gina" Brown; his children, Michael Scott Brown (Danka), Susan Elizabeth Brown and Katherine Gay Lawton (Glen); his stepsons, J. Henry (Deborah) and Frederick C.; his grandchildren, Jessica Palmer Brown, Ryder Haske and Thomas Woods Lawton; and his stepgrandchildren, Hayley E., Stephanie R. and Olyvia Phillips (Mark).
