It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Crane of Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Sandwich, Illinois, who passed away on May 8, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Duvall Crane and Elizabeth Baldry Crane; and his brother Sidney Crane. He is survived by: his wife Jill Ann Portugal; his grandchild Josie Elizabeth; his children, Michelle Bragg (Mike) of Rock Hill, SC and Jon II (Pam); his grandson Jon III; and his siblings-in-law, James Portugal, Robert Portugal (Jan) and Carlyene Crane. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Moore Sandhills Coalition for Human Care, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of one's choice.
