It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Allen Ruggles in Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Hope, Arkansas, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn A. Ruggles and Cora Allen Ruggles; and his siblings, Jane Ruggles Thomas (Jack Thomas) and Glenn Albertson Ruggles (Al). He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Varn Ruggles (Rosie); his children, Glenn Allen Ruggles of The Woodlands, Texas and Clare Varn Ruggles of Pinehurst; and his sister-in-law Joan Butler Ruggles of Auburn, Alabama. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northern Moore Family Resource Center, a nonprofit organization where his daughter, Clare, serves as the Executive Director.
