He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie (Swannie Moon) and Jimmie; his wife Doris Anne; and his siblings, Mary Moon Keller, Joyce Moon Cochrane and James.
He is survived by: his son Mark Alden Moon (Danielle) of Towson, Maryland; his brother-in-law Kenneth Earl Cochrane Sr. (Linda) of Matthews; his nephew Kenneth Earl Cochrane Jr. (Jennifer) of Indian Trail; his niece Kelly Cochrane Gainey (Stephen) of Asheboro; his grandsons, Aidan Christopher Moon and Colin Alexander Moon; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaitlyn Ann Gainey, Jacob Stephen Gainey, Aaron Kenneth Cochrane and Abigail Rose Cochrane.
