He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ervin Allison and Sarah Hannah Allison; his former wife Alice Miller Allison; and his brother William Lacy Allison. He is survived by: his wife Malinda Patterson Allison; his son James Monroe Allison Jr. (Marianne) of Charleston, SC; his grandson Christopher James Allison; his son Clifton Bradley Allison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his sister Myra Allison Bradley of Concord; and his nieces and nephews, Margaret Pruette (Taylor) of Concord, LeeAnne Couture (Jai) of Lexington, SC and Todd Barbee (Heather) of Hoschton, GA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives.
