He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Leonard Alpenfels, Sr.; and his sister Nancy Alpenfels White. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Ingrid Alpenfels of Westminster, CO, Eric Vaughn Alpenfels (Anita) of Pinehurst and Alicia Catherine Alpenfels (Darrell Billington) of Superior, CO.; and his grandchildren, Maxwell Jonathan Szejda, Ella Grace Billington, John Cooper Billington and Baxter Lee Billington.
