He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Emily Jacobs (Shoemaker); his parents, Eugene Wesley and Rena Jacobs; his siblings, Robert Jacobs and Doris Kerns; his brother-in-law Edward Kerns; and his grandson Michael Grzenda.
He is survived by: his children, Joni Grzenda (Richard), Judy Williams (Robert), Dr. Gary Jacobs (Cindy) and Dr. James Jacobs (Kimberly); his brother Ronald Jacobs (Carla); his sister-in-law Rosemary Jacobs; and his grandchildren, Jacob Grzenda (Becky), Emilee Holtgraver (Brad), Sara Bryant (Daniel), Dr. Amy Harper (Jason), Steven Jacobs (Jade Naro), Elisa Hester (Drew), Ashley Payne (Jon), Daniel Jacobs (Corinne), Isaac Jacobs and Josiah Jacobs. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
