He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville D. Litton and Virginia McQuillen Litton; his brother Charles of Grants Pass, OR.; and his daughter Erin Litton. He is survived by: his wife Doe Ann Crocker Litton of Pinehurst; his children, Douglas Litton Jr. of Charleston, WV and Virginia Patterson of Acton, VA; and his pet Pepper. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
