As we bid Doris farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Doris is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gurnee Boles and Nonnie Boles; and her husband Elmer Andrews. She is survived by: her sister Norma Watkins; her daughters, Pam (John Richardson) and Jan Benton; and her grandsons, Seth Maness (Coleman Cox), Bailey Benton (Jaiden) and Tanner Benton.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel (35 Parker Ln, Pinehurst, NC 28374). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Community Presbyterian Church (125 Everette Rd, Pinehurst, NC 28370).
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Moore County Humane Society, 5355 NC-22 Carthage, NC 28327 in her honor.
