He was predeceased by: his parents, Joffre Pope and Mary Tiley Pope; and his siblings, J. G. Pope and Janet Blalock. He is survived by: his wife Belinda Bryant Pope; his children, Michael Pope (Lavette), Jeff Pope (Ellen) and Christy Arnold (L. E.) of Fuquay-Varina; his sister Joyce P. Stuart (Ricky); his grandchildren, Brian Pope, Brittany Arnold and Lonnie Arnold; his great grandchild River Pope; his nephew Mark Puryear; and his caregivers, Michelle (RN), Lanney (RN) and Paula. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
