He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl McMurray and Maria McMurray (Lutsch). He is survived by : his son Daniel Michael; his grandson Alexander David; and his siblings, Joan McMurray, Patricia Carter (Edward), Daniel McMurray (Jackie) and Sandy Race (Thomas).

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel (35 Parker Ln, Pinehurst, NC 28374). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
