It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Mae Jeffers Pitts of Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sterlie Jeffers and Essie A. Tozer Jeffers; her spouse Delwin G. Pitts; and her sister Anita Jeffers. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Charles Pitts, Pamela Bander (Steven) and Keren Atkinson; her grandchildren, Matthew Bander (Laura) and Chelsea Brooks Atkinson; and her siblings, Dale Jeffers and Arlene Jeffers Davis.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sandhills Christian and Missionary Alliance in Pinehurst or to Monarch in Albemarle, NC, working w/ developmental and intellectual disabilities.
