She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ichiyoshi Kawakami and Kame Kawakami; her children, Linda, Janet "Jinato" McDaniel (Mac) of Morganton, NC, Debra, Goldie "Ruth" Purvis (Marvin "Marvo") of Carthage, NC, Cindy White of West End, NC and Robert L. Barber, Jr. (Stephanie) of West End; her grandchildren, Tiffany Barber, Robbie "Dobbie" McDaniel (Devon), Ryne Purvis (Shannon), Kristin "Krissy" Merrick (Brandi), Kyler Purvis (Abbi), Layton "Jason" Barber, Cassady Purvis, Aemon Barber, Braxton Barber, Chance Purvis and Roston Barber; her great grandchildren, KJ, Harper and Lincoln; her grandmother Kitty; her husband Robert L Barber Sr.; her son-in-law Mark Barber; and her siblings, Motohisa Kawakami and Nobuko Kawakami.
