With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adley Walton Hemphill (Pinehurst, North Carolina), who passed away on April 2, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Adley Walton Hemphill to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ella Walton Hemphill and Adley Wheeler Hemphill; and his brother John Boyd Hemphill. He is survived by: his sons, Adley Hemphill (Peggy) of Saint Louis, MO, John Hemphill (Yvonne) of Savannah, GA and David Hemphill (Lisa) of Alton, Illinois.; his stepchildren, Mary Michele Nidiffer (Jim) of Raleigh, NC, Kenneth Little of Pinehurst and Kristen Groner (Steve) of Pinehurst; and his great grandchild Adley.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (200 E New York Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387). A reception was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
