Libby Marsh wrote a sympathy message

“Michael was such a good man. From his youth he had a servant heart working with children involved with Sandhills Track Club It was there that my husband, Tom and I got to know him as we volunteered with the Tract Team as well. Every time we traveled with the club Michael rode with us and our two girls to the meets. As time went on we became closer and closer until we began calling us Mom and Dad and we called him son. When we saw him at Wendy's or other public places he would throw up his hand”
