She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard H. Troutman, Sr. and Cecilia Fiddner Troutman; her husband Charles Richard Sykes, Sr. of Thomasville, NC; her brother Howard Henry Troutman, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Bill Amos.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Richard Sykes, Jr. (Lisanne), Kathleen White (Andy), Joree Sykes, Sandra Sykes, Isabel Maples (Michael), Okey Sykes (Cinthia Ann), Marshall Sykes (Cindy) and Paula McKenzie (Steve); her sister Ruth Amos; and her sister-in-law Joan Troutman. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
