He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Wood and Lalon Wood. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wilkins Wood; his children, Tami Lynn Wood and Woody Dale Wood (Kaye Wood); his grandchildren, Sarah Christensen (Bryan) and Zachary Wood (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Amelia June and Julia Beth Christensen; and his siblings, Janice Creech of Smithfield, Jo Linda Holloman of Smithfield, Catherine Bailey of Wendell, Debbie Ogburn of Smithfield and Larry Wood of Selma.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church (1094 Yelverton Grove Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
