He is survived by: his wife Beth Johnston; his children, Laura Johnston Gaston (Hal) and Scott McBrayer Johnston; his grandchildren, Brice Davis Auguste, Hunter Davis, Henry Johnston and Miles Johnston; and his brother Jefferson Sears Johnston.
