Richard D. Cumberland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard D. Cumberland of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, born in Huron, Ohio, who passed away on October 6, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Richard's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Richard has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Cumberland and Virginia D. Cumberland; and his daughter Kelly Sue of Ohio. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Miles Cumberland (Debbie) and Jeff Cumberland (Mary) of Ohio; and his stepchildren, Rusty Meyers (Cindy) and Mary Malhiot (Lynn) of Grassy Creek, NC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
