He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Steinberg and Anna Steinberg; and his siblings, Pearl Starkey and Bernard Steinberg. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Eric Steinberg (Anne Hunter) of Blacksburg, VA and Julie Adams (Trent) of Richmond, VA; and his pet Marley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
