It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lowery (Pine Hall, North Carolina), who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Roosevelt Lowery and Mildred Hairston Lowery; his siblings, Plushia Mae, Willie and James Lowery; and his granddaughter Dorsaya.
He is survived by: his significant other Betty G. Lowery; his children, Charlene (Kalvin), Patricia (Tony), Carolyn and Richard Ricky; his grandchildren, Calvin (Chantel), Christopher, Tiffany, Crystal, Olivia, Denise and Patrice; his siblings, Luther Roosevelt Lowery (Luther Mae) and Louise Bailey (Gurvis); and his friends, Rev. Robert Hairston and Carl Fulton. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
