She was predeceased by: her siblings, Joseph Flippin, Samuel Flippin Jr., Clay Flippin, Claude Flippin and Peggy Jo Flippin.
She is survived by: her parents, Samuel Flippin, Sr. (Sam) and Pheba Jessup Flippin; her daughter Bobbie Simmons Collins; her son-in-law John Collins of Mt. Airy; her grandchildren, John Kerry Collins, Jr. (Cathy Collins) of Winston Salem and Todd Collins (Claire Collins) of Cullowhee; her great grandchildren, Anna, Katherine, James, John and Audrey; her sisters, Dolly Williams of Mt. Airy, Mary Jane Griffith (Arnold Griffith) of Mt. Airy and Shirley Flippin of Jacksonville; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Flippin of Pilot Mountain. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
