He was predeceased by: his father Johne David Lawson; and his brother J. K. Lawson. He is survived by: his daughter Christy Lawson (Tina); his siblings, Earlene Joyce, Barbara Marion, Fay Speas, Janice McCraw (Jerry) and Bobby Lawson (Maggie); his nephew Preston Hunter Snow; his niece Kennedy Morgan Snow; and his cousins, Doug Lawson, Jeff Lawson, Junior Lawson and Patty Cake.
