With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Burton of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on November 15, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, H. A. Burton and Marie Miller Burton; and his friend Dr. Bill Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Bennie Venable Burton of Pilot Mountain; his daughters, Adriane Burton of Austin, TX and Casie Burton of Mooresville; his granddaughter Naomi Rachel James Sales of Mooresville; his brothers, Harold Burton (Jane) of Fuquay-Varina and William "Bill" Burton (Ann) of Raleigh; his sister-in-law Patricia Beavers (Jay) of Manassas, VA.; and his friends, Tim Welch, Ricky Blizzard, Tim Bowman, Tracy Moseley and Katie Bolick.
