It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wade Clifton Gilley Sr. of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, born in Westfield, North Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Gilley and Ida Rosella Brinkley; and his siblings, Glenda Gravitte, Earlie, Cecil, Ray, Rex, Caleb Reid (C. R.), Melverine Cooke and Mozelle.
He is survived by: his sons, Wade C. Gilley, Jr. and John W. Gilley (Robin); his grandchildren, Bo and Molly Gilley; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Marvin and Larry Tolbert; and also Dale Jessup.
