He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Francis; his parents, John Herbert Francis and Doris Joyce Francis; and his siblings, Wade, Lloyd Francis, Ruby Smith, Barbara Simmons and Ann Everhart.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Francis of Pilot Mountain and Mike; his daughter-in-law Renee Francis of Mount Airy; his son Tommy; his daughter-in-law Rita Francis of Pilot Mountain; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Benjamin and John Francis; his sister Lena Gordon; his siblings-in-law, Ronda Smith and Norma Francis; and his close friend Glenda Stanley.
