He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hill and Liza Fulk Hill; his wife Effie Nora Doss Hill; his children, Billie Faye Dodson, Clayton Hill and Bruce Hill; and his siblings, Opal King, Edith Collins and Spencer Hill.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Danny, Shelley Dodson of Mesa, AZ, Anita and David Levens of Winston-Salem; his great grandchildren, Anna, Zachary Miller of Oak Island, Shea Dodson of Mesa, AZ, Ty of Mesa, AZ and Brittany Dodson of Mesa, AZ; and his close friends, Carol Tolbert Beck of Pilot Mountain and Jerry McDowell of Pilot Mountain. He is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
