She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Stokes and Marvin Stokes; her husband William Hicks; and her brothers, Marvin, Kenny and William Stokes.
She is survived by: her sons, William Hicks and Clinton Hicks (Tammy); her sisters, Marie Longerbeam (Nelson) and Barbara Finch (Steadman); her grandchildren, Christopher Hicks (Shelly), Alexandra Hicks and Justin Hicks; her great grandchild Xander; her brother-in-law David Hicks; and her pet Annie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 129 Veterans Dr. Pilot Mountain, North Carolina 27041.
