She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover C. Ellis and Sarah A. Hayes Ellis; her husband Bobbie Lee Sechrist; and her sister Dorothy Jarrett. She is survived by: her daughter Hilda; her son-in-law Ray Spainhour; and her granddaughter Renee Spainhour-Wilkinson (Laura).
