She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roosevelt Wood and Melie Hutchens Wood; her husband Fred Osborne Hutchens; and her siblings, Johnny Clarence Wood, Clyde Wood (Bud) and Dorothy Wood McCormick Marion.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hutchens (Mary Ellen) of Spartanburg, SC, James Hutchens (Sharon) of Galax, VA and Kathy Moser (Garry) of Pilot Mountain, NC; her sister Barbara Matthews (TG) of Yadkinville, NC; and her grandsons, Jamie Hutchens (Wendy) of Archdale, NC, Joshua Hutchens (Kara) and Adam Hutchens (Lea).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Home in Dobson, NC.
