He is survived by: his parents, John Joseph Wendel, Jr. and Ada Lynette Overby Wendel; his daughter Emerald Divine Wendel of Davidson County; and his brothers, John Joseph Wendel, III of Surry County, Joshua Raymond Wendel of Davidson County and Dallas.
