He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thomas Gilley; his children, Holly Hooker (Mark), James Gilley II (Shasta) and Anthony Gilley (Sandy); his grandchildren, Ellie Hooker, Jordan Bailey, Tripp Gilley, Jadee Gilley, Haley Reece (Noah) and Ashley Gilley; his great grandchild Scarlette Bailey; his siblings, Doris Hawks, Rachel Collins (Stephen) and Junior Gilley; and his close friend Dale Jessup.
